shepherd or sheep?

We live in the age of post-truth. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between the real and the fake. We take in so much information every day via the black mirror. So in all this chaos, what can we do to avoid following the flock without thinking like a sheep? Should we be shepherds? Or a sheepdog? Or should we use our minds in all this chaos? Yes, mountains are beautiful, alive, magnificent. But we should go up the mountain to explore, not to graze.
