Democracy is a process. It takes a long historical process for the whole population to embrace democracy. All together - scientists, artists, politicians, business people - should work harder to protect and promote democracy and freedoms. Today is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey. Salute to the heroes who brought democracy and human rights to this country, starting with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
